As a Tenants’ Rights Attorney, I’ve seen just how bad the Housing Crisis is and how essential it is that we fix it.
Working in eviction defense and slum housing litigation has shown me just how much stress and suffering the Housing Crisis is causing, not just to those who are forced into homelessness or out of the city entirely, but to our neighbors who are struggling to make the rent, living in uninhabitable homes due to a lack of options, or tolerating abusive landlords for fear of retaliation. In order to build a brighter future for LA, we must build more housing.
